Savvy Birds is proud to present their first End of Financial Year Business Workshop on Thursday 18th May, 2017 at The Tamworth Hotel to ensure you finish the 2016/17 financial year flying high and ready to soar into the 2017/18 financial year.
With special guests Rebecca Roach, Accountant and Director of boutique accounting firm Roach Morgan Jones and Jane Ryan, Financial Planner from Ausure Scone, guests will be given detailed information following the announcement of the new federal budget from early May 2017. Guests will also be updated on the changes for small business and provided with practical strategies for a "business health check", including EOFY tax planning opportunities.
Rebecca Roach, Director of boutique accounting firm Roach Morgan Jones will discuss:
- A recap of the federal budget - including the changes in play for small business
- Tax planning; including what you can do to prepare you and your business for the end of the financial year
- A review of the “Business Health Check” looking at business structures, software suitability and a range of other issues to consider in your business.
Jane Ryan, Financial Planner at Ausure (previously Senior Financial Planner for ANZ in the Hunter and New England North West) will discuss:
- Planning for your future
- Superannuation and deductibility
- Insurance choices - What is life insurance? What is sickness and accident insurance? What do you need and what is appropriate for you and your business?
Savvy Birds will also take home a "financial checklist" of practical tasks to ensure you are tax ready for EOFY and the new FY.
Food & Drinks: We welcome you to join us for networking from 6pm where you can purchase dinner at the Tamworth Hotel, in preparation for the 7.30pm start. Complimentary nibbles will be provided for the workshop from 7.30pm, with dinner and drinks to be purchased in the Tamworth Hotel Bar and Restaurant prior to the workshop.
